About Us – Eczema & Itchy Skin Condition Awareness
Katie Mackie (@Mackies_Moments) & Daisy Malin (@DaisyMalin_Skin) met online after their skin struggles reached a peak during the Covid-19 lockdowns. They formed an instant connection and understanding of the way in which their eczema affected them and shared a passion for all things skin and how they can affect you more than just a visual level – “it’s just a rash” ๐๐๐.
After talking they knew they needed to do something to raise awareness and thatโs when the itch & bitch page & podcast was born on 19th January 2021. In June 2022 Katie Mackie AKA (@Mackies_Moments) launched itch n bitch bags on Etsy, turning her and many other peopleโs struggles into wearable art. Changing the narrative on skin conditions one bag at a time.
Katie edits manages, creates and replies to all the content for itch N bitch alongside her 9-5 working in central London. Whilst Daisy has stepped back into appearing on the podcast as a host, occasionally collaborating on awareness content. Nearly 2 years on itch n bitch has flourished into a nearly 5,000-strong community of itchy bitches.
